How my illness taught me to listen to my true desire :)

How many messages have you received or seen this week about promotions, sales, discounts???
Like every year before Black Friday, everywhere you look-
You see an ad about a sale or promotion that you "can't miss."

True, we are adults, and we usually understand that people are trying to tempt us to buy.
But these ads and publications are made in such a way that they often "catch" us.
And then, even if we didn't end up buying (something we didn't really need),
We often feel like we missed out, that we missed an opportunity.

So for the sake of that, I want to talk today about restraint,
And about taking advantage of opportunities out of awareness of my own will.
Two habits that are two sides of the same coin,
And I redirected both of them thanks to my illness.

To me, restraint doesn't mean holding back and holding myself back from doing something I want.
This means that I live my daily life with recognition, understanding, and acceptance of my abilities and limitations,
And by listening to my true inner desires.
We are all human, and each of us has our own abilities and limits,
And it's our job to know about them, so that we can work with them and not against them.

In my case, I received the gift of this lesson from my illness.
Because if I try hard and try hard to do something that I really can't do,
I'll deal with it later.
So besides focusing my desires on things I can do,
I also learned to accept that there are things I won't always do when I want to.
And that's okay, it's even great, because I appreciate more what I do do.
I value myself as I am, a real person with weaknesses and strengths.
I also learned that I have everything I need in the world,
And my state of mind does not depend on achieving some goal or objective or object.
And the truth is that most of the time, if I listen to myself and what I really, really want,
I will find some way to fulfill the essence of my desire,
Even if it's a little different than what I initially thought...

If I can be aware of my true desires,
And I know them and my abilities,
I will also recognize opportunities that come my way that advance me.
Opportunities are all around us all the time,
If I am focused on what I want, I will notice them, and I will be able to take advantage of them at the right time.

So yes, if I really need a new, sophisticated oven for the kitchen because I really want to upgrade my baking,
The current sales are a good opportunity for me to buy one.
But if I'm in touch with my true desire,
So an ad about some great sale on the newest model oven won't get me emotionally involved.
I know what suits me and what my limits are, and I know what I really want.
This means I am more focused, allocating my resources (both financial and mental) more wisely,
And I'm not stressed about missing opportunities either.
I know that I won't miss out on what's really important to me.
I also know that I will not give up my desire,
And if for some reason I didn't have time this time, I will find another opportunity to reach him.

I trust myself to know how to choose wisely which opportunity is right for me and to take advantage of it.
